The sculpture "Woman with a snake on her leg" was made around 1880 and is presumably one of the variants of the sculpture "Cleopatra" by N. Meyer. Cleopatra is the last queen of Egypt from the Ptolemaic dynasty. Intelligent and educated, she was the mistress of Julius Caesar, then the wife of Mark Antony. After defeat in the war with Rome, she committed suicide. According to legend, a poisonous snake served as the weapon of suicide. A naked young woman with a wreath of flowers on her head is depicted. Standing on her left knee, she turned back, slightly raised her right leg bent at the knee, and with her right hand touched a small snake that wrapped around her right foot. The Kasli plant has been casting the sculpture since the end of the 19th century.
